Texture/Material - Dense Textured handwoven Matka Tussar Narural silk fabric. These fabrics are completely handwoven on a frame loom. The yarns/threads used for this fabric is Tussar and matka and spun silk. Handwoven fabrics have totally different texture then mill made fabrics. It is due to the low weaving speed and the equipment used for weaving that determine the thickness and quality of the yarn. It is these textures that helps in creating distinct handloom fabrics. This is a pure handwoven, pure silk natural product. The gsm of this fabric would be around 300 to 350. 

Matka comes from thick yarn spun from the silk worm and results in some irregularities in the fabric. Resembling tweed in texture, the irregularities are expected and considered unique. Matka sews very easily and is a thicker type of fabric, used for suits, jackets and furnishings. By adjusting the amount of yarn, Matka can be used for varying thicknesses and textures.
